Ingredients:9 cups desiccated coconut397g tin condensed milk155g tin Nestle cream1 teaspoon elachie powder
Syrup-3 cups ordinary sugar1 cup water
Also needed-Red food coloring
Method:1. Mix coconut, elachie, cream and condensed milk.2. Make a syrup. Syrup is ready when you dip a spoon into the syrup, blow on it to cool it a little, then dip your forefinger into the syrup and lightly press it against your thumb, and it forms a "string"/ "web" between the two fingers.3. Add the syrup to the coconut.4. Mix in well. Now divide in halves.5. Mix one half with a few drops of colouring to make it pink.6. Set down the white copra paak in a greased tray.7. Then set the pink over it.8. Allow it to harden in the fridge and slice in squares when set.#mamataughtmewellrecipes
Note: We also scoop into mini foil cups, sprinkle with coloured badaam nibs. We also colour some a light green.
