-1 ½ medium onions(chopped)
-½ teaspoon crushed ginger
-1 teaspoon crushed garlic
-1 teaspoon green masala
-1-1 ½ teaspoon salt
-chilli powder to taste
-¾ teaspoon arad (Turmeric)
-1 teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin) powder
-green dhania (coriander)
-Mustard seeds(Rye (black seed))
1.) wash goolera and cut in circles,
half Fry in shallow and place on kitchen tissue to remove the excess oil.
2.) after removing goolera,Add 1 ½ medium onions(chopped) in the same oil and cook till golden brown.
3.) Add ½ teaspoon crushed ginger, 1 teaspoon crushed garlic and 1 teaspoon green masala
Also add 1-1 ½ teaspoon salt , chilli powder to taste, ¾ teaspoon arad (Turmeric) and 1 teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin) powder
Cook for abt 5mins then add the fried goolera and mix well.
4.)Lastly add 1 tomato (finely cubed), chopped green dhania (coriander) and 3 level teaspoon sugar, leave on low to cook for 15-20 minutes till done.
5.)serve with roti
INFO & TIPS
You can add whole mustard (rye) seeds to the oil before u add the onions if u want to make it the proper indian way...
Add Abt 3/4 tsp rye and few curry leaves.
