INGREDIENTS
1 kg chicken fillet
1 tablespoon garlic
½ to 1 teaspoon ground green chilli
½ cup yogurt
1 freshly squeezed lemon
1 teaspoon parley
1 teaspoon jeera mixed spice
½ teaspoon jeera powder
¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
¼ teaspoon white pepper
¼ teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chicken spice
salt to taste
flat bread :
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon bakig powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon zaatar ( optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil
warm milk to make a soft dough
red onions
cabbage shreded ( I made it sour )
tzatziki :
chopped cucumbers
chopped fresh mint
salt
lemon juice
yogurt
METHOD
slit the fillets tot hin them
Mix together all the marinade ingredients
add chicken and mix well .
allow it to marinade atleast 1 hour
I like to cook this chicken the night before and leave in fridge
reason bein , its easy to cut very thin slices when cold ,
I add the thin slices to a pan with some oil or butter just to heat on the the I serve .
flat bread :
Add all ingredients and make a soft dough
make balls according to how big u wanna make the donner kebab
roll thin
fry on tawa few seconds each
don't brown .
add to a container and close straight away to prevent getting hard
tzakziki :
Chop cucumber allow water to drain on paper towel
add salt
small squeeze of lemon
chopped mint few leaves
yogurt
assemble
Add the thin slices on the flat bread
add the salad stuff
tzakziki
serve immediately
INFO & TIPS
you can use left over chicken as well .
