3 cups flour 3 teaspoons baking powder Pinch of salt -Sift ingredients twice
Add 4 tablespoons sugar 100g soft butter -Mix till fine like breadcrumbs
Beat 2 eggs with ½ - ¾ cup sour milk. Add to mixture & make a soft dough.
Divide dough into 2. Roll out oblong 1cm thick. Brush with egg & filling. Roll like a swissroll. Cut about 3cm and pat a little flat. Brush with egg & bake.
Filling: soft butter, coconut, sugar, pecan nuts and dates. Heat on stove slightly till mixed. Spread on rotis.
I rolled like a swissroll and put into a bundt pan to bake. Cut slits on top with a scissor.
Bake @ 180.
When cool drizzle glace icing over.
I omitted the dates. Enjoy.
