2 kg qumkots washed sliced in halves and seeds removed (Optional: boil to soften and drain )Place in a dishIn a small pot add1 curry spoon oil.Few slices of garlic or 1 teaspoon crushed garlicfew curry leaveslittle mustard seedslittle whole Jeeru (Cumin) seeds2 Cinnamon stick 3;Elachi (cardomom) pods3 cloves Till (sesame)Braise few minutesAdd 1 cup akalwaya masalaBraise now add to the drained qumkotsNow Make a syrup1 cup water¼ cup vinegar+- 1 ½ cups sugarPinch of saffron (optional)Keep few days for syrup to thicken(Can adjust vinegar or sugar to your taste)Then keep in fridge Can be frozen and thawed at room temperature when requiredEnjoy
