My simple styleNanima style
Take 100 g tamarind (u use red)Soak in +- 1 ½ litre waterDrain the water in a jug
In a pot add 2-3 tablespoon oilWhen hotAdd 1 grated or sliced onionAdd 1 full teaspoon mustard seedsAdd crushed 1 tablespoon whole Jeeru (Cumin)1 teaspoon full black crushed peppercorns(Add more if you like hot)¼ teaspoon tumericTear up your curry leaves. Add few finely cut up garlic Add ½ teaspoon red ground garlic pasteTear up some whole dry red chilli(Add more if u like hot)Braise Add.the tamarind waterAdjust your salt ½ teaspoon sugar Bring to boil till spices are soft and well infused I tried a variation For the variation See below(OPTIONAL : TIP FROM A FRIEND TO SLIGHTLY THICKEN I added : 2 tablespoon tomato puree and ½ a grated tomato) I tried also adding little tomato sauce 😋It was divineEnjoy
