1 cup pink dhal (Masoor (Back lentils) ) washed Boil it with ¼ sliced onion½ teaspoon crushed garlicSalt¼ teaspoon tumericBoil 15 minutesIn a seperate potAdd 3Tblsp ghee (Clarified butter)Braise¼ sliced onion½ teaspoon whole Jeeru (Cumin)¼ teaspoon mustard seedsFew curry leaves2 garlic sliced1 Red dry chilli torn upAs soon as the onion changes to a light colourAdd 1 grated tomato¾ teaspoon chilli powder1 level teaspoon dhana jeera mixBraise add the dhal to thisCook further add water if necessary ..the dhal should be slightly Dry. ..add ½ teaspoon garam masalaCook few minutes Add tomato sauce (optional)For tangy taste Adjust salts and chiilliGarnish with chopped green dhania (coriander)Enjoy with pickles and roti
