INGREDIENTS
50g butter
2 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
3 cups self-raising flour
1 cup buttermilk
METHOD
cream butter & sugar, and add the egg.
gradually add flour and buttermilk.
on a lightly floured surface, roll the dough
approximately 15cm thick, and cut using a ring
doughnut cookie cutter.
deep fry until golden brown on each side.
drain doughnuts on paper towel and toss in castor
sugar or dip in suryp and coat with coconut.
