4 cups flour 8 teaspoon baking powder¾ flat teaspoon salt ½ cup sugar 180g butter 2 eggs Drop vanilla essence 1 ½ sour milk 1 egg for spreading on scones
Mix all the dry ingredients Add the butter and crumb Mix together the sour milk , vanilla , eggs and whisk it together Now pour this little at a time to the mix. Make a soft dough Cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees On a floured surface remove dough and mould it together Roll it out about 1inch in thickness Spread the egg wash Bake until nice and golden ontop .
INFO & TIPS
If you have a thermostat oven bake at 220 degrees , bake for 10 minutes .
Make sure not to soften butter in microwave , use butter at room temp or cold .
