INGREDIENTS
1 cup melted ghee (Clarified butter) (clarified butter),1 cup icing sugar,1 teaspoon baking powder,¼ cup cocoa powder,½ cup chana flour,1 ¾ cups cake flour,½ teaspoon elachie (cardamom) powder,2 tablespoon Milo/ or instant coffee,2 tablespoon oil.
METHOD
1. Let ghee (Clarified butter) cool to almost room temperature after melting.2. Sift flour, icing sugar, chana flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. 3. Add in Milo and cardamom powder, and mix in with a wooden spoon.4. Then add in ghee (Clarified butter) and mix.5. Form a soft dough by adding oil and binding by hand.6. Grease baking sheets.7. Roll into small rounds, using a tablespoon scoop to make sure they're evenly sized.8. Slightly flatten the top and press a whole badaam/ raw cashew into center.9. Bake in preheated oven of 160°C for +/-15 minutes, or until biscuits have cracked. 10. When done, remove and cool.11. Be gentle when removing from baking sheet as it is soft.12. When bitten the naan khatai should easily crumble, as well as melt in your mouth.
