INGREDIENTS
2 cups self raising flour2 cups sugar¾ cup cocoa2 teaspoons baking powder1 ½ teaspoons bicarb1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon coffee1 cup milk½ cup oil2 eggs2 caps vanilla essence1 cup boiling water
Icing:100g Rama1 cup icing sugar2 ½ tablespoons cocoa1 cap vanilla essence
METHOD
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Add all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and combine well.
Add the milk,oil, eggs and vanilla essence to the flour mixture and combine.
Add the boiling water and fold mixture.
Bake between 30-35 minutes/depends on your oven.
Icing:Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
I usually use the back of the spoon.
Once cake has cooled completely, add the icing.
INFO & TIPS
This cake can be baked in a rectangular oven baking tray or three round baking tins.
I bake mine in a Pyrex.
Also, I usually add either grated topdeck chocolate or plain chocolate on the top.
