1 cup Mughni dhal soaked in hot water for few hours or over night2 tablespoon solid ghee (Clarified butter) 1 medium onion finely chopped 2 medium tomatoes chopped 1 ¼ teaspoon salt½ teaspoon tumeric powder 1 ½ teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder (I use medium)1 teaspoon dherna jeeroo powder ¼ teaspoon garam masala (optional)1 tablespoon red ginger garlic masala 1 ½ to 2 ½ cups water for cooking depending on how hard the dhal is and how wet or dry you prefer
mix everything in the pot together and cook on med to low
