INGREDIENTS
250g soft butter (not melted plz)½ cup icing sugar1 ¼ cup Maizina / corn flour ½ teaspoon rose essence½ teaspoon ground cardamon ¼ cup oil + - 250g cake flour
METHOD
Beat the Butter and icing sugar till light, pale & fluffy. Add the Maizina, rose essence & cardamon. Beat well.Add the oil & beat till mixed well.Add in the flour. Beat. You want a nice very soft dough.Pipe onto a lined baking tray. Bake in a pre heated oven at 180c for 5 minutes, then 160 for the next 10 minutes.Keep an eye. All ovens are different!!Store in an airtight container. If the biscuits are a little soft in the middle after cooled, place in a warm oven 70c on low heat for 5 minutes, & allow them to cool down in the oven totally. This wont be necessary though, just incase.Once cooled decorate with the icing.I dipped my biscuite ( top half only) in the icing & then put crushed almonds & edible dried rose petals.-For the icing:2 x 80g slabs white chocolate ¼ teaspoon ground cardamonFew drops of rose essence Place the chocolate in a bowl & melt in the microwave. Mix in the essence & cardamon.Enjoy.Thank me later💗😉-â•( Variations: 1. For custard biscuits, omit the rose essence and cardamon, replace with 1 teaspoon vanilla essence and substitute the ¼ cup Maizina for custard powder.2. For plain biscuits, omit the rose essence and cardamon. Replace with 1 teaspoon vanilla essence.)â•
