For the Chicken:1 baby chicken (cut into 5-7 pieces)7 stems of fresh green garlic (Sliced in circles)7 bulbs of the green garlic (crushed finely)½ - ¾ teaspoon salt (taste)½ teaspoon arad (Turmeric)¼ teaspoon pepper (optional)5 tblpsns melted ghee (Clarified butter) For garnishing:Chopped coriander Chopped green garlicFried onions (optional)
1.) Marinate the chicken with all of the above ingredients for approx an hour. Transfer to a nonstick pot, cover and steam on medium heat until cooked through (a little boiled water can be added halfway through cooking if you want it a bit soupy).2.) Transfer to serving dish, garnish with coriander and more green garlic and fried onions (optional)3.) Serve with paratha or ghee (Clarified butter) roti’s.
