INGREDIENTS
600g leg mutton1 teaspoon ginger garlic1 teaspoon crushed garlic1 onion, finely chopped2 heaped teaspoon chilli powder½ teaspoon turmeric2 teaspoon salt2 teaspoon whole jeeru (cumin) (cumin)1 teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin) (coriander cumin crushed)4 whole Elachi (cardomom) (cardomom)2 cinnamon sticks3 tomatoes, liquidised1 cup yogurt1 pinch saffron4 potatoes
METHOD
Marinate mutton with chilli powder, turmeric, salt and dhana jeeru (cumin). Fry onions in ghee (Clarified butter) or coconut oil until translucent. Add in ginger garlic, garlic, whole jeeru (cumin), cinnamon sticks and Elachi (cardomom). Cook until onions are golden.Add in marinated meat and cook for a few minutes on high.Add tomatoes and continue cooking until meat is soft - adding very little boiling water when needed.Steam potatoes in microwave with salt until completely cooked.Add yogurt and saffron to mutton.Add potatoes last.Serve with homemade naan
