1 can chickpeas½ teaspoon bicarb2 cloves of garlic⅓ cup of tahiniJuice of half a lemon¼ cup of olive oil½ teaspoon jeera powderSalt according to taste
Rinse chickpeas and remove the skins(this is optional but so worth it) 2. Add 2 cups of boiled water to the pot with bicarb and 1 clove of garlic. Boil for 20 - 30 minutes. The chickpeas should be very soft. 3. Strain the chickpeas and add to a blender. Add in tahini, lemon juice, oil, salt, remaining garlic and jeera powder. Blend until you have a smooth texture. Garnish hummus with any toppings you like. Serve with pita.
