INGREDIENTS
1 kg chops½ teaspoon salt (taste if more is needed)1 ½ teaspoon vinegar1 teaspoon Worcester sauce1 teaspoon light soya sauce¾ teaspoon coarse black pepper½ teaspoon lemon pepper3 tblspns mayonnaise3 tblspns garlic and herb sauce (steers brand for SA crucials brand for UK)¼ teaspoon garlic powder½ teaspoon chopped garlic1 teaspoon chopped ginger1 teaspoon oil1 teaspoon butter1-2 green chilli (optional)3-4 potatoes, peeled and cut in chunks (optional)
METHOD
1.) Marinate chops with all of the above ingredients except the butter and green chilli.2.) Heat butter in a non-stick pot, add the marinated chops to it, close the pot with a lid and cook and medium heat for about 5 minutes then top with some boiled water (enough to just about cover the chops) and cook until soft and tender (if adding green chilli and potatoes - add it in 10-15 minutes before the chops are done) - then remove the lid and turn the heat up to high for approx 3-5 minutes until it’s dried out and slightly browned.
