125g butter1 cup Castor sugar3 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla essence2 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup milk2 cups flour2 - 4 tablespoon cocoa. ( for chocolate cupcakes)
Beat butter and sugar till white and creamy.Add eggs one by one and beat altogether. Add in essence and then baking powder.Beat together. ( add cocoa now) Then add milk and mix.Lastly add the flour. Make sure to sift the flour first. Mix well. Scoop into cup cake pans.Bake for about 17-20 minutes at 180°

Can add one cup of chocolate chips for an added chocolaty effect.
