INGREDIENTS
Chana daal 11/2 Cups (soaked & boiled)Cumin seeds 2 teaspoonCloves 3 to 5Cinnamon stick 1Onion chopped 1 largeGinger Garlic paste 1 tablespoonTomato chopped 1 largeRed chili powder 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes 1 teaspoonSalt Coriander powder 1 teaspoonTurmeric powder ½ teaspoonGreen chilies 2 to 3 chopped Garam masala powder 1 teaspoonOilCurry leaves handfullFresh coriander, ginger julienne
METHOD
Add onion and fry until light golden.Add ginger garlic paste and tomato and mix well. Add boiled daal and 1 glass water.Add all spices and mix Well. Cook for 5 minutes. Add green chilies, cover and cook on medium flame until tomatoes are soft.Add garam masala.For tarkaa .. In small frying pan add quarter cup oil, curry leaves, green chilies, garlic and 1 teaspoon zeera.Add tarka on cooked daalAdd fresh coriander and serve
