INGREDIENTS
500g tenderized steak or stewing beef 4 medium potatoes cut in quarters 150g of tomato paste1 stick cinnamon 2 medium tomatoes- skin peeled and then grated 1 medium onion finely chopped 1 medium green pepper Salt to taste 2 teaspoons oregano1 tablespoon ground white pepper 1 tablespoon sugar- can adjust if needed 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste 1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
METHOD
Fry onion and stick cinnamon until golden brown- add Teaspoon of water if needed. Then add your green pepper and garlic ginger - braise for 5 minutes and add clean washed meat (cut into chunks) add the pepper, 2 pinches salt and the Worcestershire sauce. Braise for 15 minutes on medium heat and add little water at a time. Then add the tomatoes and oregano, add the sugar and cook for another 10 minutes. Next add the tomato paste and potatoes, cook this until potatoes are soft (should slide off fork / knife) meat should also be tender at this point. Check and adjust salt if needed Serve with warm, white rice or roti
