INGREDIENTS
Green mugh dhall (lentils)TomatoesSour milk (inkomaas)Lemon juice
METHOD
                      1. Boil 1 cup green mugh dhaal until soft. Drain and set aside.
2. Slice one onion. Braise in ΒΌ cup oil with 1 teaspoon jeeru (cumin) seeds until golden brown in color.
3. Add 1 teaspoon red ginger garlic masala, 2 chopped up tomatoes ( don't liquidize ), 1 and Β½ teaspoon salt, Β½ teaspoon tumeric, 1 teaspoon dhana powder, Β½ teaspoon jeeru (cumin) powder and 1 teaspoon chilli powder, ΒΌ teaspoon Methi (Fenugreek) masala (optional). Add ΒΌ cup water and cook till tomatoes turn mushy.
4. Add your boiled mugh dhall (lentils) and ΒΌ cup water and cook 15 minutes.
5. Then add Β½ cup inkomaas (sour milk) and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Mix to incorporate well. Cook on high heat for 5 minutes until desired consistency. ENJOY with roti, aloo fry and a squeeze of fresh lemon π
