place toffee ingredients in a deep heavy based saucepan and bring to the boil.Mixture should become thick and sticky.TEST: When the mixture is dropped onto a saucer, and cooled a little bit, it should be able to be rolled into a ball (pliable) Pierce green apples with skewers / clean ice cream sticks and lay on grease-proof paper. :Once the toffee is ready, coat the apples with the toffee and allow to cool on the tray Ready to eat in a few minutes!
