
Shabi\'s Pepper Steak Pie

500grams tenderised steak, cubed
1 medium onion, chopped
Little salt & lotsa pepper to taste
1 green chilli, finely chopped (optional)
½ Red pepper, chopped (optional)
1 sachet Ina Paarmans readymade Pepper sauce
Fresh dhania (coriander), finely chopped
3 eggs, boiled & coarsely grated
1 roll puff pastry (Woolies is my fave)
METHOD
Braise onion till slightly golden (add red pepper
& chilli at this stage if using & braise a bit).
Add steak & let brown. Add salt & pepper & cook
till steak\'s tender. Now add pepper sauce & cook
for a few minutes to heat through. Add dhania (coriander) &
filling\'s done.
Open up pastry & cut into two. Spray & cook your
tray then lay 1 part down. Top with filling then
eggs and close with other pastry piece. Crimp edges
with finger or fork. Brush with egg then pierce
with fork here & there. Bake at 180deg till
golden. Quick & yum :)
