500 grams chicken giblets 250 grams Nandos Peri Peri sauce1 ¼ teaspoon salt2 tablespoons white vinegar1 tablespoon ginger & garlic paste2 ½ cups water2 tablespoons olive oil½ onion2 tablespoons butter or margarine1 teaspoon cayenne pepper1 teaspoon garlic powder2 tablespoons chili powder1 teaspoon chicken spice1 teaspoon red chili flakes250ml fresh creamfresh parsley or coriander for garnishing
Wash giblets and remove excess fat. Cut in smaller pieces if you wish. Boil in water for 45 minutes or until done. Add g/garlic 1 teaspoon salt and vinegar to water. Rinse thoroughly and keep aside. In pot add butter/oil with onions. Allow to sauté until onions are translucent. Add chicken spice, garlic powder,red chilli flakes,cayenne pepper and chilli powder. Mix well…add in the giblets and ¼ teaspoon salt. Mix until giblets are coated in spice. Cover with lid an allow to cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir an add in the main ingredient nandos peri peri sauce medium or hot your choice. Pour in fresh cream and mix until combined. Cover with lid and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir… garnish with fresh dhania (coriander) or parsley. Serve with Portuguese rolls or garlic bread. Enjoy 🤤
