INGREDIENTS
1 onion thinly sliced1kg mutton piecesΒ½ teaspoon whole jeeru (cumin)1 & Β½ teaspoon salt1 teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin)Β½ teaspoon arad (Turmeric)Β½ teaspoon kashmiri chilli powder3 or 4 whole green chillies2 teaspoon ginger garlic masala4 - 5 grated tomato's3 - 4 potatos cut in half and fried till done dhania (coriander) chopped1 loaf unsliced bread
METHOD
Saute onion with jeeru (cumin) and little ghee (Clarified butter) and oil till soft and slightly brown..Clean meat, sprinkle with some mustard powder and drizzle over some vinegar to tenderise the meat (or you can just use meat tenderiser)
Add meat into the onions and cook till halfway done adding water as needed.. Halfway through add in the tomato's and all the spices and masala and mix.. Leave to cook on low till it starts to thicken.. Add in potatos and cook for another 10 minutes on low, sprinkle with chopped dhania (coriander) and we are ready to serve..
Cut your unsliced bread in ΒΌ or Β½.. Scoop the soft bread out of the middle but not all the way through, put in enough curry, meat and potato as u like, top it off with the scooped out bread and garnish with more dhania (coriander).. Serve with kachumbar or atchaar or any salad that you like...Enjoy π
INFO & TIPS
To make kachumbar is very easy, just chop an onion, grate a carrot and chop a tomato. Add in some vinegar, salt, pepper, crushed dried mint and 1/2tsp apricot jam.. Mix it with ur hands and enjoy...
