USE COLD BUTTER
AND RUBBING METHOD
RECIPE
2 Cups Flour (see note below) 125 g COLD SOFT Butter Or Margarine RUB IN FLOUR WITH FINGER TIPSAdd 1 teaspoon Bicarb & 3 teaspoon Baking Powder
4 teaspoon Baking PowderAdd 1 teaspoon SaltMix All the Dry ingredients togetherIN A SEPARATE BOWLBeat 1 Egg Well beatenVanilla Essence (keep little aside for Egg Brushing top of Scones) Add to it ¼ Cup Castor Sugar +-1 cup Buttermilk ( Or Maas) Beat mix wellNOW Add the Above Gradually to the Flour to make a Soft dough (You might require +- Flour +-2 & ¾ Cups DO NOT OVER KNEADPAT ON A FLOURED SURFACE CUT IN ROUNDS EGG BRUSHBAKE AT 200FOR 5 minutes THEN DROP TEMP TO 180 BAKE FOR 10 minutes OR TILL LIGHT GOLDEN NB:You may place under Grill if you need it more Golden Brown on top ENJOY😋
