-1 kg chicken-100ml oil-4 cinnamon sticks-¼ teaspoon mustard seeds-¼ teaspoon cumin seeds-2 to 3 tablespoon Rajah curry powder-½ teaspoon salt- ½ teaspoon cumin ground seeds-1 cup pink dhal/ lentils or tin dhal-1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste-1 onion-2 tomatoes-2 springs of curry leaves-¼ bunch of coriander leaves with stems
1. Heat oil in a big saucepan.2. Add cinnamon sticks, mustard seeds, and cumin seeds, and cookfor 1 minute.3. Add onion and curry leaves and cook till onions are translucent.4. Add ginger and garlic paste, turmeric, curry powder, and salt andcook for 1 minute.5. Add tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.6. Add chicken and cook for 5 minutes.7. Add ½ cup of water and cook till tender.Add water if needed.8. Add cooked dhal and coriander and cook for 10min.
