INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoon olive oil2 tablespoon butter1kg chicken fillet (cubed)1 large onion (diced)2 tablespoon garlic paste1 teaspoon ground green chillies1 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon black pepper½ teaspoon cumin powder½ teaspoon coriander powder½ teaspoon dried mixed herbs1 large punnet button mushrooms (sliced)½ packet Knorr cream of mushroom soup mixed (or 3 tablespoon flour) with ½ cup milk½ cup long life fresh cream4 sprigs fresh thyme + more for garnish
METHOD
1. In a pan heat butter and oil.2. Add in garlic and chillies and braise.3. Add in cubed chicken and spices and mix well.4. When chicken is sealed, add in sliced mushrooms.5. Cook till mushrooms are tender.6. Mix milk and mushroom soup powder and add to pan.7. Add in cream and thyme, mix well.8. Allow to simmer until thickened.9. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.10. Fill into pastries. I brush pastry with egg and sprinkle on dried herbs before freezing & additionally place on fresh thyme sprigs before baking. #mamataughtmewellrecipes
