INGREDIENTS
330g steak mince, washed and drained Salt & Pepper to taste1 teaspoon Green Chilli paste½ teaspoon garlic powder½ teaspoon Onion powder 1 teaspoon Wosteshire sauce1 teaspoon cumin powder
Sauce: 3 tablespoons mayo1 tablespoons tomato sauce1 teaspoon mustard1 small gherkin, chopped½ teaspoon garlic powder½ teaspoon Onion powder1 small onion, choppedA dash of parsley Sugar to balance out the tangy taste
For the caramelized onions : 1 sliced onion 1 tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon sugar/honey
METHOD
1. Butter both sides of the burger buns and toast them.
2. In a small fry pan, add sliced onions, sugar, and butter, and let them caramelize on low heat.
3. Mix all the spices with the mince and form 4 balls.
4. Allow the pan to get hot. Add oil.
5. Put the mince balls and smash them as thin as you can without breaking them (I use the back of a mini saucepan). Don't flip the patty until it gets golden brown.
6. Place a slice of cheese after you flip the patty and allow the other side to get golden brown.
7. Put sauce on both sides of the bun & assemble the burger with one patty for a light meal or 2 patties for a heavier meal.
Enjoy!
INFO & TIPS
You can add lettuce, Macon, guac, tomatoes etc and serve with chips
