INGREDIENTS
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ¼ cup cocoa powder
• ¼ cup butter
• ¼ cup milk
• 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
METHOD
• Making homemade hot fudge sauce is so simple. Five ingredients(probably more but shh 5 sounds easy so stay with me ) and ten minutes to make it. That’s it. (OK maybe like seven 10 minutes if you get distracted in between like me)
Luxuriously rich, delightfully thick, and profoundly chocolatey. (Just like the dream husband your mom envisions for you.) It surpasses anything you can purchase in stores... well, except for that divine Lindt chocolate sauce – that's some good stuff, but it also requires a said husband to foot the bill.
It can last in the fridge for up to two weeks. Haha, who am I kidding? I'll probably devour it all in a day or two. Nothing delicious ever lingers for long in my fridge. In my belly, though, it's a different story.

You can swap out the brown sugar with condensed milk. It's tastier, but definitely not Nestlé, okay? Make your own. I'm sure there's a recipe floating around somewhere.
Now, onto the preparation part.
In a small bowl (opt for a visually pleasing one for the 'gram, you know),
mix together the brown sugar and cocoa powder and set it aside. (Definitely not Nestlé, neh?)
In a medium saucepan (who even has different-sized saucepans – just use the same one you use for making white sauce or reheating soup for two),
nobody's gonna know
Over medium heat (if you've cracked the code of what 'med heat' is, you've won at life and are now ready to get married ... clearly, I'm not there yet),
add in the butter and milk, bring it to a gentle boil, and let it bubble away for 3-5 minutes, giving it a stir now and then.
Hum the bubble song while you wait.
Oh, you don't know the bubble song? Yeah, neither do I.
Add the cocoa and brown sugar mixture, stirring constantly, and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce turns smooth. (Just like your smooth-talking sibling when they want something from you.)
Remove from the heat immediately, stir in the vanilla, and set it aside to cool to room temperature (whatever that means). The sauce will thicken during this time. And so will the saliva in your mouth as you start craving it, but hey, you're fasting, right? Sorry ne
Enjoy it with something sweet or have it straight from the jar; I have done both.
Keep it out of reach of children.
Meaning, you and your jar should steer clear of little ones.
Unless they're your own, then you're stuck with your mistakes – literally.
Okay, just kidding.
Kids are a blessing, really.Ask my mother
