INGREDIENTS
- 2 Cup rice- 1 tablespoon oil- 1 teaspoon ghee (Clarified butter)- 1 bay leaf- 2 cardamom pods- 1 cinnamon stick- 1 star anise- 2 garlic cloves- 1 teaspoon. Ginger gralic paste - ¼ tomato- 1 pandan leaf- Salt to taste- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder- 4c Water
Garnish Fried onion Fried cashew Dania
METHOD
1. Wash rice until water runs clear.2. Heat oil and ghee (Clarified butter) in a multicooker.3. Add whole spices, ginger Gralic paste, gralic cloves, onion tomatoes and pandan leaf and cook until onion turns golden brown.4. Add rice and water and salt to taste and turmeric powder. Once the water starts to bubble and in the washed rice5. Cook until water is absorbed.6. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with fried onion and fried cashew (this is optional)
INFO & TIPS
To cook the perfect rice
ratio rice to water would be 1 cup rice to 2 cup water. Follow this tip to get perfectly cook rice every time
