INGREDIENTS
Ingredients: 1 litre milk1½ cups sugar1 egg½ teaspoon yellow food colouring250g butter1½ cups semolina (Taystee Wheat)Elachi (cardomom) powder, to taste1 cinnamon quillA few saffron threads
METHOD
Method: ■ In a bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, egg, and food colouring. Set aside.■ In a large pot, melt the butter. Add the semolina, Elachi (cardomom) powder, cinnamon quill, and saffron threads. Sauté on medium heat until the semolina is fragrant and lightly golden.■ Slowly pour in the milk mixture, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.■ Cook until the mixture thickens and the semolina is fully cooked, with a smooth, creamy texture.■ Serve warm with dessert cream and garnish with slivered almonds or chopped pistachios.
