INGREDIENTS
1. Red lentils: 1 cup (200g)2. Onion: 1 medium (120g), chopped3. Carrots: 2 medium (200g), diced4. Celery sticks: 2 (100g), chopped5. Olive oil: 2 tablespoon (30ml)6. Cumin powder: 1 teaspoon (5g)7. Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon (5g)8. Water or vegetable broth: 6 cups (1.5 liters)9. Salt: 1 teaspoon (5g), or to taste10. Black pepper: ½ teaspoon (2g)
METHOD
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.2. Add onions, carrots, and celery; sauté for 5 minutes until softened.3. Add lentils, cumin, turmeric, and water/broth. Stir well.4. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes.5. Partially blend with a hand blender for a creamy texture.
