INGREDIENTS
β’ 1 large or 2 small/medium sized calabash peeled & cut into chunksβ’ 2 potatoes peeled & cut into quarters
METHOD
- Place your veg into a medium sized flat pot- Add salt to taste ( not too much as the butter is salted as well , rather add less then adjust later )- Β½ teaspoon crushed black pepper- About a ΒΌ lb. of butter or more if you like ππ- Add about a ΒΌ cup of water & cook on low until the calabash is soft- Don't let all the water burn out, leave some of the buttery juices- Enjoy as a side dish
INFO & TIPS
- Add in thickly sliced onion rings or slivers , green pepper julienned & few green chillies slit as a variation
