INGREDIENTS
Sponge 125g butter 250ml or 1 cup milk4 eggs Vanilla 300g sugar 260g flour 3 teaspoon. Baking powder ¼ teaspoon. Salt
Buttercream 125g butter 290g icing sugar 1 teaspoon. Vanilla 4 tablespoon. Milk
Decorating 100's & 1000's sprinkle
METHOD
In a bowl add butter and milk and microwave until the butter has melted, set a side to cool completely
In a large bowl add eggs and sugar and beat until, light and pale Now sift in the flour, baking powder and salt, mix with a spatula until no visible flour lumps.Now add in the cooled milk mixture along with vanilla.Mix until a soft, runny batter forms.Grease and flour two 8-inch cake tins.Divide the batter evenly. Bake in a preheated oven @180c for 20 to 22 minutes
Once bake let it cool down before removing it from the pan.
While the cake is cooling let's make the buttercream
In a bowl add the butter and beat slightly to soften the butter now add the icing sugar and beat for 3 to 5 minutes. Now add in the vanilla and milk and beat for another 2 to 4 minutes.
Once the cake cooled completely sandwich the cake with the buttercream and sprinkle the 100's & 1000's on top or decorate as us desired
