INGREDIENTS
1 cup all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder½ teaspoon salt¼ teaspoon maizena (corn flour)/cornflour (optional)¼ teaspoon lemon pepper¼ teaspoon black pepper¼ teaspoon paprika¼ teaspoon garlic powder1 egg1 cup cold water9 white fish fillets (such as hake or haddock)* Oil for frying* extra ½ cup flour
METHOD
Pat your fish with some paper towel (this allows the fish to crisp while frying,takes the moisture out)..Lightly salt & pepper your fish.Firstly sprinkle the flour on your fish & coat it well.Add all the above spices with the dry ingredients & add the egg & water (all in a bowl & mix everything together).Makes a lovely thick consistency.Dip your fish in the wet batter & fry in the hot oil.This batter will give your fish a golden colour👍Serve with fries & tartar sauce & lemon wedges on the side!Lovely with fragrant white rice & yummy dull curry.Also follow on my page *Dull Curry With Fragrant Rice 🌹🇵🇸
