Crispy fried okra — light, crunchy and dangerously addictive!Golden edges, a sprinkle of spice and that crrrunch in every bite.
🌿 Crispy Fried Okra

500g okra (bhindi (lady fingers)), washed & fully dried
½ cup gram flour
¼ cup cornflour
1½ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 emon (helps coating stick)
Oil for frying
1. Prep the okra:Cut off the ends and slice okra into thin strips lengthwise — thinner = crispier.Pat dry to remove any moisture.
2. Coat:In a bowl, add okra + lemon juiceSprinkle over gram flour, cornflour, and all spices.Toss well so okra is lightly but evenly coated.If mixture looks too dry, sprinkle 1–2 teaspoon water — just enough to bind.
3. Fry:Heat oil on medium-high.fry small batches until golden & crisp.Remove and drain on paper towel.
4. Optional finish:Sprinkle salt , chiili powder and toss

Can be air fried for a healthier version
Air-fry
Preheat air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
Spread okra in a single layer (don’t overcrowd — crisping needs space).
Air fry 10–14 minutes, shaking halfway.
For extra crunch: increase to 200°C for the last 2–3 minutes.
