Ingredients
4 cups flour2 tablespoon sugar1 teaspoon salt1 tablespoon instant yeast1¼ cups warm water2 tablespoon softened butter
Butter layers125 g softened butter
Method
Add flour, sugar, salt, yeast, water, and butter to a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook.
Mix until a soft dough forms.
Cover and leave to rise for 1 hour.
Divide dough into 10 balls.
Roll each ball into a round.
Spread butter on each round and stack them.
Wrap tightly in cling wrap or plastic and freeze for 1 hour.
Roll the chilled dough into a large circle.
Cut into 16 triangles.
Roll each triangle into a croissant shape.
Cover and leave to rise until doubled in size.
Brush with egg wash.
Bake at 180°C until golden.
