INGREDIENTS
Sermolina Cake( Basbousa)

Ingredients
1 cup melted butter or ghee (Clarified butter)
1 tin condensed milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups semolina
1 &½ cups pistachio or almonds or (210g chopped)
Prepare Syrup
½ cup sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon rose water
METHOD
In a bowl, combine butter, condense milk and baking powder and stir well..until turns white in colour
Add semolina flour and mix until well combined.
Use some of the butter to grease pirex or round baking tray
Sprinkle chopped nuts in the tray
Pour semolina mixture over nuts, level it.
sprinkle more nuts over the mixture as well.
Bake in a 180•C preheated oven until top is golden brown.
Remove from oven pour cooled syrup on top of hot cake and place in fridge to cool then cut into diamond shapes and serve with whipped cream if Desired ... Enjoy!!!
