INGREDIENTS
1 cup flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
¾ cup Brown sugar
¼ cup cocoa,sifted
½ cup milk
2 tablespoon butter melted.
2/3 cup treacle sugar
¼ cup cocoa, sifted
300ml hot water
1 tablespoon icing sugar
METHOD
Combine the flour, baking powder, brown sugar and ¼
cup cocoa into a mixing bowl. Gradually stir in the
milk and butter.
Beat with a wooden spoon until smooth.
Spread the mix evenly into a greased 1and 1/2lt
ovenproof pudding dish. In a jug combine the treacle
sugar and ¼ cup cocoa.
Gradually add the hot water, stir until smooth, then
gently pour over the top of the pudding. Place the
dish on an oven tray.
Bake at 180deg for 30-35 minutes or until the pudding
has risen and is firm τσ the touch.
Dust with little icing sugar and serve with vanilla ice
cream or custard.
