Doughnuts

INGREDIENTS

4 cups cake flour (sifted),
1 teaspoon bicarb,
4 teaspoon baking powder,
qrt teaspoon salt,
1 teaspoon nutmeg,
250ml sugar,
2 eggs,
1 cup sourmilk,
qrt cup melted butter

METHOD

Beat eggs in a large bowl till frothy, add sugar, butter and sourmilk and beat well together, mix all dry ingredients together, and add to egg mixture, form into a nice soft dough, roll out with doughnut cutter and fry in hot oil till golden brown
