RECIPE
1cup milk
¾ teaspoon salt
1/4cup sugar
6tlb buttter or shortening
1pkt instant yeast
3 ½ cup flour
1beaten egg
Extra butter thats melted
½ cup mixed nuts I added Kajoor (Dates) a little
Scald milk add the salt ,sugar and shortening to the hot milk stir and allow to cool.
Take half your flour add yeast and pour milk mixture and beat well allow to rise.than add rest of flour and beaten egg and knead well allow to rise second time.roll dough to an oblong shape brush with the extra melted butter sprinkle nuts roll as swiss roll.form.into ring in baking tray.make cuts at 2inch as my puc illustration.but leave inner edhe unbroken.turn the slice out to lie flat on the baking tray.let it rise.bake at 400F (gas5) for 30mins to 35 minutes ice while hot with water icing.
Water icing
1 ½ cup sifted icing sugar with little cold water to spread consistency.
