INGREDIENTS
inspired by RJS in Durbs
1 kg rump / fillet steak
1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
Red chilli paste ( depends howling you eat )
1 teaspoon dhana powder
1 tablespoon steak and chops spice
½ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon Portuguese spice
¼ teaspoon peri peri spice
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoon Portuguese sauce
salt to taste
Sauce :
4 tablespoon Minnie's Portuguese sauce
Squeeze fresh lemon
Small blob butter
5 tablespoon water
Fresh green jalapenos ( I used the sliced jar 1 )
METHOD
marinade steak in all the above for atleast 3 hours or overnight .
Cook in butter until nice and tender , add water while cooking .
Before serving :
Place the already cooked steak on the griller cook for 5 minutes each side basting the marinade from the pot .
In a small pot add the sauce Ingredients and give it a simmer .
To serve :
Pour the sauce on the plate or platter you using to serving . Top with steak and layer jalepenos ontop .
Serve with garlic rolls .
INFO & TIPS
You can change spices to your liking . Also please take note the sauce and spices are salty so taste before adding salt .
