INGREDIENTS
125g butter
¼ cup castor sugar
1 egg
¼ teaspoon vanilla essence
¼ cup custard powder
⅓ cup corn flour
Flour as needed to make a dough
METHOD
Cream butter and castor sugar, then add the egg and vanilla essence. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients. Roll out dough on a flour surface to a 5 mm thickness (there's no baking powder so dough should be kept thick). Cut into shapes and bake on 180 for about 15-20 minutes. When cooled, decorate as desired.
