500g spaghetti, cooked and drained
1 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
4 tomatoes, grated
1 small tin tomato paste
4 cloves garlic, crushed
salt to taste
sugar to taste
2 teaspoon dried sweet basil
Fry onion and green pepper until translucent.
Add tomatoes and cook for about 15 minutes,
until it is thick. Add tomato paste, garlic
and sweet basil. Cook for another 5 minutes,
adding sugar and salt to taste.
Add spaghetti to tomato gravy and mix well.
Turn stove down and heat pasta through.

Variation: To make spaghetti and meatballs, add frikkadel balls to tomato gravy. Cover pot and cook for 20 minutes. Serve tomato gravy and meatballs on a bed of spaghetti, sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
