RECIPE
1 ¾ cups flour plus minus two cups
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
125g butter
¼ cup milk
1 egg
Filling
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Butter for spreading
-Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Rub the butter into the dry mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs, but is not clumping up. Lightly beat egg in the milk and add in slowly to make a soft dough.
rollhalf the dough between two plastic sheets into a rectangle... Trim the edges.. Spread butter and cinnamon sugar... Roll into a Swiss roll .. Cut thick slices..repeat process for the other half 🌷
- Bake at 190C for about 15 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes and drizzle salted caramel sauce over.
Half a tin of nestle caramel and 1 teas coarse Himalayan salt...
I didn't use ... Also didn't have caramel.. Used glacé icing..
