INGREDIENTS
400g Sliced Mushroom
1 Large Onion Finely Chopped
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
¼ cup Chopped Green Pepper
50ml Oil
100g Margarine
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 teaspoon Aromat (a South African Spice)
¼ teaspoon Thyme ( Robertsons)
1 packet Royco Chicken al la king
500ml Milk
250ml Fresh Cream ( Clover )
500g Macaroni
½ Cup Cheddar Cheese Grated
METHOD
Saute the Onion and Garlic in butter and Oil. Turn heat on high and fry Mushrooms. Lastly add green pepper, Aromat (a South African Spice), salt , pepper, thyme. Turn off heat.
In a Large pot Cook macaroni with a little oil and salt ( Al Dante).
Do not drain. when water has almost reduced and Chicken al la king mix with the milk. Add to the macaroni in the pot stir continuously remove from stove, lastly add fresh cream.
Pour half the macaroni into a greased dish, add less than half over the macaroni, add a little cheese. Then pour remaining half of Macaroni, add the balance og Mushrooms and top with balance of cheese. Sprinkle some thyme over and microwave for about 3 minutes. Enjoy
