INGREDIENTS
125g butter
1 cup castor sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 eggs
¾ cup milk
2 cups flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
pinch salt
1 tablespoon sifted cocoa
METHOD
1.Cream butter and sugar well.
2.Add vanilla essence, beat
3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3.Sift flour,baking powder and salt.
4.Sift flour, Baking Powder, and salt.
5. Add flour alternately with milk and blend well.
6. Divide batter into 2 portions. Place half the cake batter in a greased 23cm ring pan(bundt cake pan).
7.Mix cocoa into the balance of the cake batter.
8. Spoon into the cake pan-on top of white batter.
9.Cut through the mixture with a knife to obtain a marble effect.
10.Bake at 180C fo 20-25 minutes.
11.Turn out and when cool, dust with icing sugar.
