1 chicken cut into quarters or 81 teaspoon salt2 cloves garlic ½ teaspoon sugar ½ teaspoon paprika½ teaspoon blackpepper ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Sauce:1cup barbecue sauce (any brand) 2 tablespoon honey2 tablespoons tomato sauce 2 tablespoons hot sauce (any brand)4 tablespoons butter1 clove garlic chopped
Method:1.Wash, dry, and season the chicken with the salt, garlic, pepper, cayenne, sugar, and paprika.2. Preheat the oven to 180 deg. Spray baking paper /wax wrap with cooking spray. Place the chicken pieces in a single layer on the paper , and place in the oven. 3. Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning the chicken once.4. While they are baking, prepare the sauce by slowly simmering the sauce ingredients over the lowest heat. 5. When the chicken is done baking, carefully dip them in the sauce, and place them back in the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbling.
For a smoky flavor, light a piece of charcoal place into a bowl with a teaspoon of butter, put the bowl into the dish with seasoned chicken. Cover with plastic wrap and leave for few minutes, until there is no more smoke .Alternatively you can braai (bbq) the chicken pieces basting with the sauce frequently. Enjoy 😜
