INGREDIENTS
1 egg2 cups milk125g butter¾ cup semolina 4-6 tablespoon Klim (mix with milk to form a paste) 2 teaspoon Elachi (cardomom) powder 1 cup sugar150ml cream 1 teaspoon vanilla essence Green food colouring (optional) Almonds to decorate
METHOD
1. Beat together the egg, milk, sugar, Elachi (cardomom) powder, cream and vanilla essence. 2. Melt the butter in a heavy based pot and braise Sojee (semolina flour) for 10 minutes 3. add in the milk mixture and simmer till it thickens slightly4. add the saffron and Klim and mix with a wooden spoon on low heat for about 10 minutes 5. Steam on low with kid closed for an additional 10 minutes 6. Either steam longer on stove or put in oven at 180 for about 180 7. Garnish with chopped almonds when serving
